Joselito Sabogal: paintings

Peruvian artist Joselito Sabogal studied at the Colegio Santa Maria in Sao Paulo. His mesmerising and quite often unsettling images are created using loose brushwork and have an implied, if obscure, narrative. They feature animals, hybrids and imaginary creatures, as well as medieval faces and Andean scenery. Besides South America, Sabogal has had exhibitions in Australia, Finland and Spain.
